Does it count the end date?
No. The calculation counts the days between the two dates, not including both endpoints. If you want to include the end date, add 1 to the total days.
How does it handle different month lengths?
It follows the standard calendar — months have 28/29/30/31 days. The year-month-day breakdown accounts for this, giving you an exact human-readable difference.
